Terms:

• Initial payment: First month + last month + refundable damage deposit.
• You have the option of managing the rental via Airbnb.
• Payment to arrive on the first of every month by electronic bank transfer, Zelle transfer is preferred.
• We keep a photo of your driver license in our files.

House rules:

• Parking: In driveway, outside the small garage. Street parking is not permitted during the day.
• Keys: You will be given a personal electronic code for the front door.
• Privacy: Cameras protect the perimeter of the house. Media is stored in the cloud for 30 days.
• Pets: No pets are allowed. We have a cat in the house.
• Smoking: No smoking anywhere on the property.
• Communication: You will have phone, email and text/SMS access to us at all times. We understand the importance of quick and convenient communication, in particular in the early days as you are getting to know the house.
• Chores: We expect you to be neat and tidy and help keep all spaces you use clean. You help take garbage out for weekly collection.
• Please change your sheets/towels weekly. They are provided in the linen cupboard.
• Other expectations: Since we’ve had some guests that were new to the room-renting concept we spell the following out:
  • You are renting a room with a bed, TV and writing desk. The rental is for you, as one person. No other people, that includes family and friends, are allowed.
  • You have your own private bathroom located a few steps from your bedroom.
  • You have access to the kitchen for cooking and eating. Reasonable space is provided in the fridge and kitchen cupboard for food items. Please  keep your purchases reasonable. 
  • The laundry room gives you access to a washer and dryer.
  • You are also welcome to use the formal dining room as a work space.
  • Guests are not allowed. Exceptions need to be agreed beforehand.
  • In general, please ask if you think something you want to do may not be appreciated by the home owners.
